Namdaemun Market

It was in February this year I was in Korea and right now it's April. It's hard thinking back that far. I would love to catch up with people I've met over the past 14 months. Right now I guess I don't feeling like I'm traveling.....probably because I'm working. I haven't been feeling the travelers smile so maybe it's a good thing I'm writing from past trips.

One thing I love checking out is market's in different countries. Namdaemun market is Korea's largest and oldest. This market is by the great south gate.

My first stop was food. I find Korean food not that great just spicy. The chopsticks are long skinny hard to use metal ones.

After lunch I just explored the market. I remember at first being dissapointed with the market but then something made me slow down. I slowed my pace and started really walking and looking at where I was. I went further into the market getting lost among the smells of food cooking, stalls selling U.S. military clothes, selling fish, candies, random useless stuff and so on and so on. I walked into one area and the smell of seafood hit me (I didn't enjoy it). I could have been in the market for minutes or hours. Thinking back this makes me miss Antigua Guatemala. I know something at this point of Korea I felt something missing but I wasn't sure what it was yet.....

For now I'll leave some pictures of the market. As for myself I am going to try to reflect of more of my trips after all its;

My life
My choice
My time

Tuna Tom

These tasty little buggers likely we're the reason I slowed down in the market.
