It is inevitable that bad weather will strike especially when travelling for a long period of time what is frustrating is when you are packing your bags and trying to decide what to take and what not to take and you leave behind your high quality rain jacket, pants and really good all purpose jacket........
I am now in NYC and spent most of the day walking around Central Park I probably walked upwards of 120 blocks today (60 of those with my backpacks on). I came by greyhound from Toronto (where I got soaked on the way to the station) the bus I took was an all night bus and I got to NYC around 8:00 am and it took me over an hour to walk there from 40th street to around 102nd street. After dropping off one of my bags I went to the park which is pretty impressive to have a beautiful park that big in a city the size of NY. As I didn't sleep too much on the bus ride over I took a few naps in the grass in the park today (although more than I normally can top tip listen to music just loud enough so you can barely hear it to act as white noise). I won't be here for a long time as I head to Florida for a music festival for the weekend. I didn't want to spend too much time in NY as I am not a big city person and it is just simply very expensive. More and more I realize I want to spend more time in the outdoors. I need to figure out what I am doing over the next few days and mostly just wanted to post some pictures......little jealous I am not in Calgary to enjoy the red mile
