At the time of this writing 1 Canadian dollar is 86 Japanese yen.
Tokyo Japan I have heard a few things but I had no idea what to expect it became one of my favourite countries quickly. I was interviewed by a tv crew upon arrival in Japan I may never get to see the footage but that is ok. The subway system is very clean, like I mean immaculate clean you can tell they clean this! It is also extremely efficent and it is easy to tell where you are going. The subway will cost you 170-340 Yen. From the airport the train will cost you 1100 Yen.
The directions to my hostel were PERFECT. If you could get lost with these directions I don't know how you make it out of your own bathroom. The hostel I am staying at is very clean, quiet and nice and close to temples and the subway system. The hostel was 3,600 YEN/night.
I have attached some information about the temples pictured below. The temples were free to visit which is always a huge plus for backpackers :)

One of the best things was I was not looked at twice and treated like everyone else which is a nice change from South East Asia.
The first day was a little quiet but then I met my friend Junya but I will leave that story for another since it is my blog and it is;
