As quiet as downtown Calgary on a Saturday

It is Monday evening here and I can swear that I am in Calgary during the weekend. I am in the capital city of Australia Canberra the population is 350,000 so not a large city but certainly bigger than my hometown of 13,500. I left Sydney just to get away from the city for a few nights before I head to Asia. I wasn't feeling good about things over the last few nights so I got up early and decided to catch the first bus or train that I saw leave which is why I am in Canberra. Tomorrow I am going to check out the war museum which is free.....free is good when travelling! After leaving my hostel this morning my sunnys (sunglasses for non Aussies) blew right off my head into oncoming traffic a guy sees this looks at me sees I am not going for my sunnys walks around the cars spots them and you would think as he sees me with 2 massive backpacks on that maybe he was going to pick them up but no he just wanted to tell me they are still there........seriously man? So you see my sunnys and figure I should run into traffic with all of my bags just to get my cheap sunnys.......needless to say I just pulled out a spare pair and now have 3 spare pairs left. This is the second pair of sunnys I am down since I started my trip. The bus trip over weird here the buses all have seat belts and by law you are supposed to wear them. The bus makes one stop and the bus is jam packed the person in front of me smells like oh god the smell they smell like the dressing room of hockey players on game 7 of the stanley cup finals after triple overtime god it was foul and I have no sense of smell.

The good I left when I was feeling uncomfortable, I will not be spending much money here, and a free museum tomorrow. The next couple of days are nice and quiet. I had some really tasty tins of tuna - flavoured tuna is important! You will have to forgive the excitement of this post not everyday of travelling will be exciting unless I somehow become a millionaire over night. I know once I get back to Sydney things will pop again and then off to Asia and thats when things should get really exciting again. For now there is a sauna and pool calling my name.
